Are You Confused Over Essiac On The Web

There are so many people selling Essiac Tea on the Web, how do I choose?

You are right.  There are so many choices for Essiac on the Web that it is hard to determine who I should buy from.  Let me help you narrow down your selection.

First, there are actually two formula's for Essiac Tea.  The original formula was made up of 4 herbs.  This is the formula that had been used for hundred of years and passed down from the Ojibway Indians in Canada to Rene Caisse who introduced it to the United States in the 1920's.

The improved formula is made up of 8 herbs.  The original 4 herbs are used however 4 additional herbs were added to improve the effectivness and potency of Essiac.  This new 8 herb formula was created by Rene Caisse and Dr. Charles Brusch in the mid 1960's.

One of the reasons for improving the formula was that clearly the toxins and pollutants that entered the body in the 1800's is now greatly expanded due to modern society and things like jet fuel in our systems, frozen foods and additives for fast foods, to name a few.  Essiac needed to be upgraded to meet the challenges of a new fast pace society.

Therefore, if you are looking at Essiac we would suggest you choose the upgraded eight herb formula. This is the formula we use at Herbal Balance For Life, Inc.

OK, now that I understand I want the eight herb version, how do I choose a supplier?

Most all of the people advertising Essiac on the Internet are mom and pop suppliers that are buying herbs from growers and mixing up the formula at home.  You see, the four herb formula is now public domain and you can find the formula on the internet quite simply.  As you can see from their pictures, most people simply put the ground herbal formula in a "baggie" and send out to you.  You will find that most of those suppliers only deal with the readily available 4 herb formula.

The eight herb formula is still a secret and was given to our competitor, Flora, out of Canada in 1992 through Rene Caisse .  Through our association with the Dr. Charles Brusch estate and their designates, we were able to license the rights to that same eight herb formula.

I mention our competitor Flora because both Flora and ourselves, Herbal Balance For Life, Inc. manufacture and package our Essiac under cGMP compliant standards.  These are the standards set forth by the Food & Drug Administration (FDA) which sets guidlines as to accuracy, cleanliness, bacteria level, in effect, all of our products in are made in a sterile clean room enviornment. Everything is acurately weighed, chemists and packagers wear masks, gloves, caps & gowns, shoe covers working in air circualted control conditions where human hands never touch product.

So, we ask you, why would you want to buy from somebody using a home mix master to blend a formula that is calibrated in a pyrex measuring cup and who knows if they are even wearing gloves?  Just the thought of contamination or accuracy of the formula worries us and it should you.

Always choose a reputable company that is making product to the standards set by a federal agency and monitered on a regular basis for something you will be ingesting!
